the Hoveas are flowering

in the garden
its a shrub that one doesn't notice until it flowers
then it puts on a spectacular display

I tried some leaf prints the other day
added line
added some colour

decided to get physical with the mallet

amazing amount of colour from the flowers

this one is quite subtle
smashed onto previously printed paper
now I'm off to google others' smashing techniques
